Spring-A time to renew your commitment to self


The birds are singing, the tress are budding and the flowers are blooming and the days are getting longer. I love spring. It's the time when we come out of the long winter months. It's the perfect time to re-commit to your own health. What does health mean to you? It can mean a lot of different things to people. Is health and self care making sure you have your annual physical? Going for your mammogram or colonoscopy? Does is mean drinking more water or eating more salads? Does it mean trying to get outside to "move" more? Does it mean starting a new meditation practice? Does it mean you're trying to shed that extra weight you gained over the winter or since Covid? Health can mean a lot of different things to different individuals, depending on your circumstances and your journey. Are you struggling with an autoimmune disease? Why does someone need or want to hire a health coach? A health and wellness coach, like myself, will not focus on what is wrong with you or the negatives in your life. My role is to meet you where you are at, and help you with making small changes in your daily life that you want to work on. My job is to help you find your own motivation and help inspire the changes you want to make. We do this through exploration and asking questions. I have wanted to lose weight or said that I would exercise "X" number of days a week. But something would always get in my way. And then the excuses would start flooding in about why I couldn't exercise. It wasn't until I hired a health coach that I actually understood their value in my wellness journey! Yes, even health and wellness coaches hire a coach for themselves! A coach helps motivate and inspire me to make the changes that I want in my life. They don't tell me to run 3 miles a day if that's not what motivates me. That's what I love about coaching! You, the client, gets to decide what you want to do for movement! Do you like the Peloton, yoga, swimming, walking, you choose. Dancing? Why not? If it's something you like and your'e going to stick to it and make a lasting change. So what changes do you want to make this spring? Do you just want to be a happier person? I would love to earn you as a client and help you achieve your goals, whatever those may be. We will sit together and figure out those goals and I can help you feel successful, balanced, and simply grounded.
